Mike Sampson was a fitted kitchen supplier who stayed briefly at Linton Travel Tavern in 1997 and attended Alan Partridge's leaving party. He lived in Acton.

Sampson had a habit of chuckling at all times, even when speaking. He shared at least three awkward elevator rides with Partridge during his stay at the hotel. Asked what it was like where he lived at Alan's leaving party, Sampson outed himself as a racist by complaining that there were "a few too many blacks".
