Lawrence Knowles was a publicist who appeared as a guest on Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge.
Controversy[]
Knowles was involved in a scandal in which he obtained photographs of the Royal Family from hidden cameras for the purposes of inclusion in the book "Her Majesty's Pleasure". He defended his actions, stating that the book was published "purely in the public interest". Despite stating that he "obtained some photos that were frankly unpublishable", they were also featured in the book.
Lawrence's back[]
In footage taken by "Knowing Me, Knowing You snoopers", Knowles were seen parking in a disabled parking space and picking his nose, then later emerging from the premises of dermatologist Clive Sealey. Sealey described Lawrence's back as "very hairy", and held up a large bag full of his client's hair. He revealed that, during his time at school, Knowles was nicknamed "Wolfman", "Monkeyboy", "Godzilla", "King Kong", "Human Carpet", and "Gus the Gorilla".
