In conversation with Alan Partridge, Morgan opined that, after the Second World War, "there was a lot of immigration, and inevitably crime went up". After convincing a traffic warden not to give her a parking ticket for a short stop, Elsie reported the officer to his superiors. This action resulted in the man's dismissal, which she said comended, "particularly as he was black". She continued on a racist tirade, alleging that "they bend the rules"; "they don't play by our rules".
